Helios
A command post for your coding agents.
One glance, the truth.
01 · The glance
One glance is the truth.
Helios watches every agent session on your machine and answers the only question that matters when you look up: what is happening right now.
One line per fact. Nothing repeats. If three agents are working, it says so — before it says anything else.
Three agents are working. One is blocked on you.
3 agents working · 1 needs you
- api-gatewayrunning · 4m 12sobserved
- checkout-flowblocked — approve migrationneeds you
- design-systemsuite green · 240 passedobserved

02 · Grounding
Every answer wears its label.
Helios separates what it measured from what a model merely said. The labels survive into saved transcripts, receipts — even the local fallback model wears them.
Honesty is a layer, not a tone.
03 · The rail
Approve from your pocket. Never silent.
When a session stalls or blocks, Helios prepares the fix and asks — steer, stop, or dismiss. One tap, from the phone surface it was designed for.
It never executes behind your back.
04 · The map
Everything connects.
Sessions feed receipts. Receipts feed the brain. The brain grounds the next answer. Drag the stars — the constellation holds.
05 · The specifics
No mystery. Here is the whole thing.
- Runs on
- A macOS app and an iPhone app, over a small local service on your own machine. No account, no sign-up, no server of ours in the path.
- Watches
- The coding-agent sessions already on your disk — Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI. It reads their session directories; it does not wrap them, replace them, or need them changed.
- Answers with
- A model you choose. Anthropic or Google with your own API key, or a local model through Ollama — on the local path nothing leaves the machine at all. Voice notes are transcribed locally too.
- Stores
- Everything under
~/.helioson your machine: your engines, your sessions, your receipts. Deleting the folder deletes the data. - Sends
- Nothing, until you switch something on. Model calls go to the provider you picked, with your key. Phone approvals travel over Telegram only if you pair it — with no token the lane is off, permanently and silently. There is no analytics or telemetry anywhere in the product.
- Costs
- The software is free. You pay your model provider directly, or pay nothing at all and run it locally.
- Licence
- Apache-2.0 — read it, fork it, audit the claims on this page against the source.
Full detail on what can leave your machine, and when, is in the privacy notice.
